0% – .05% Alcohol

My Take –

OliveNation is a maker of extremely good extracts and flavorings. I love to cook, bake, make candy, etc so I’m always looking for the flavors I need to round out my spice pantry. To my surprise, I saw that OliveNation has liquor extracts! So of course I ordered a set.

In writing this review, I noticed some that weren’t in the set, like champagne!, that I will be ordering to taste as well.

The liquor extracts set of six 4 ounce bottles for about $25 is a great price! It includes: Amaretto, Bourbon, Brandy,  Butter Rum, Creme de Menthe, and Grand Marnier extracts.  All but 2 are listed as being PG free, and they note that several are TTB approved.

So far I have tried the Grand Marnier extract for cheesecake filling. It tastes just like the real thing!(Don’t try it out of the bottle, it’s terrible straight) I can see this being used in non-alcoholic drinks in favor of the spirit and not missing anything in the drink. (Grand Marnier is a cognac orange liqueur, so there’s an accent in flavor that you can’t get with just orange.)

From the OliveNation website:

These delicious extracts have all the flavor and aroma of classic liqueurs, but allow bakers and cooks to more accurately control the amount of sugar, flavor, and liquid in their recipes.

Our liquor extracts are sugar free and gluten free, and offer concentrated formulations that are stronger than the original so that less is needed for deep and delicious flavor.

The concentrated formulation means that these flavorings are also effective in beverages, frostings, and marinades where only a small amound is needed to impart taste.

Amaretto Extract
Bourbon Extract
Brandy Extract

Our Amaretto extract captures the delicious, rich almond-like flavor and aroma of this special liqueur.

Real bourbon whiskey is used to make this outstanding flavoring.

Premium brandy is used in an aqueous sugar solution to create this water-soluble extract.

Butter Rum Extract
Creme de Menthe Extract
Grand Marnier Extract

Our fantastic butter rum extract pulls the flavors and aromas of a Hot Buttered Rum cocktail together  with no alcohol aftertaste.

A wonderful mint flavor and aroma with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla. For a classic look, add green food coloring.

Grand Marnier is made from three different kinds of cognac, and is rightfully famous for its luxe, decadent flavor.

On my list to order:

Pure Rum Extract
Spiced Rum Extract
Sherry Extract
Sparkling Wine Extract
