February has a lot going on! Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, Carnivale, so many parties! This chicken thigh recipe is so easy to make, and sure to be loved by any crowd, or even as a dinner for two.
Chicken thighs are incredibly juicy and flavorful, and really soak up flavor quickly. For parties, they’re bigger than wings, and less hassle to eat too!
I marinated these for about 40 minutes, then threw them in the air fryer for an easy, relaxed cook.
Buffalo Trace Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
Ingredients
Instructions
Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning together in a small bowl
Place chicken thighs in the large bowl
Pour 3 tablespoons olive oil over the chicken, lifting and moving to coat
Pour the bourbon over the chicken.
Sprinkle half of the the spice blend over the chicken.
Rub spices into the chicken and under the skin if it hasn't been removed.
Pour the rest of the olive oil over the chicken, add the other half of the spice blend, and repeat rubbing it into the chicken, turning and making sure it's evenly coated.
Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 40 minutes. Most of the liquid should be absorbed by the chicken.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees.
Arrange chicken thighs in one layer in air fryer basket. Do two batches if your air fryer won't fit all of the thighs.
Cook in the air fryer for 25 minutes, or until the chicken is at 165 degrees F and the skin is crisp.
Use tongs to pull chicken out of the fryer and onto a baking sheet. Let rest for 5 minutes.
Arrange chicken on a serving platter and sprinkle with the poultry seasonings for garnish. Pull some of the rose petals out of the jar for an even nicer display.
