Fre Sauvignon Blanc

My Take –

I tried this recently, because it was recommended by a friend. It’s an extremely light taste, with a good amount of black pepper in it. The black pepper surprised me, as I’ve usually only had fruit centric flavors in a Sauvignon Blanc before.

This was light enough to not really come across as drinking a glass of wine, but felt like a spritzer without the fizz. I’ll try it again, but I haven’t felt myself drawn back to it yet versus other wines to try.

It’s produced by Sutter Home, which is a label that I haven’t really had good experiences with in the quality of their wine.

The journey to your glass begins in the vineyard. Each FRE wine is crafted using traditional winemaking methods. Once crafted, the wine goes through state-of-the-art spinning cone technology to remove the alcohol while safeguarding the fragile wine aromas and flavors.

Fresh notes of green grass, and soft, tropical fruit aromas. With each sip you will find bright acidity with delicious passion fruit and mango flavors, classically characteristic of a California Sauvignon Blanc. The slight dry finish will leave you reaching for another glass.

Fre is a fresh, delicious beverage with the characteristic aromas and flavors of premium wine.

Enjoy this crisp, delightful beverage on its own or with goat cheese, pesto chicken, and grilled fish.
