My Take –
KetoneAid, an athletic energy and support drink, has expanded their line to include Hard Ketones. This is a drink that rivals the buzz of alcohol, while containing no typical alcohol in it. Instead it has their patented Ketohol ingredient, an alcohol alternative that raises blood ketones.
I spoke with the CEO, Frank, in depth about how the Ketohol affects the liver, and what the market response has been to their product. The Ketohol is processed by the liver and results in no toxic by-products. (If you have liver disease, talk to your doctor about any ketogenic diet changes.) Bartenders have praised Hard Ketones as having an authentic taste and buzz compared to ethanol based alcohol.
I’ll be writing more about Hard Ketones once I taste their lineup and try making some cocktails with it.Â

From the KetoneAid website:
Hard Ketones offers a unique buzz without alcohol (nor THC, Kratom, Kava, or herbal elixirs). It features patented Ketohol (R 1,3 Butanediol).
Our drink’s unique taste has sparked diverse reactions. Some find the stevia challenging. A splash of lime can transform the taste, and grapefruit packets are another popular add-on.Â
