My Take –
I love Geisen Wines, and was very excited when I saw that they are producing low and no % alcohol versions of their fantastic full alcohol offerings.
I’m a big New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc fan, and this doesn’t disappoint. Lots of lush fruit, passionfruit, lime, stonefruit, crisp and dry. It’s a perfect summer or sipping beverage.
Their 0% line includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Rosé, Riesling, Sparkling Brut, and a Premium Red. I can’t wait to find and try the other varietals!
From Giesen’s website:
Just 19 calories per 5 oz serve
80% fewer calories than a traditional 12.5% alc/vol Sauvignon Blanc
48% fewer grams of sugar than its closest non-alcoholic wine alternative
Closure: Screwtop
Bottle Size: 750ml
Alc Vol:Â Non-alcoholic
SRP: $17 USD
It’s aromatically expressive, crisp, and refreshing, with the varietal characteristics you know and love… only with the alcohol gently removed.
The final blend is a dry, refreshing style of non-alcoholic wine with low calories, containing no more than 0.5% alc/vol.
This alcohol-removed wine offers delicate aromas of fresh lime, redcurrant, and lemon shortbread. Delicious citrus flavours followed by distinct blackcurrant and passionfruit notes.
The wine finishes crisp and dry, with a mouth-watering juicy brightness that leaves you reaching for a second sip. You’ll find it light, fresh, and invigorating
“Light, refreshing, zingy… I’m really impressed with the palate weight. That’s pretty amazing. Well done Giesen!”
